Purpose
The purpose of posting this plan is to educate anyone who is interested in coming out to the track. Expectations and education are essential to ensure safety at all times. This can be a dangerous sport and this plan ensures that all on-track incidents are handled quickly, safely, and consistently. These procedures are for responding to crashes, rider misconduct, medical situations, and environmental hazards during The Raceline events.
All staff, volunteers, and control riders must follow these procedures to maintain a safe environment for participants. Lets make sure everyone gets home safely.

Event Safety Chain of Command
During all events, the following personnel oversee safety operations:
• Safety Director: Responsible for overall track safety, incident coordination, and communication with medical staff.
• Control Riders: Experienced riders circulating on track to monitor rider behavior and assist with incident management.
• Corner Workers / Flag Marshals: Stationed at designated track positions to observe riders and communicate hazards using standard flag signals.
• Medical Staff: Licensed medical personnel with an ambulance on-site to respond to injuries or medical emergencies.

Standard Flagging Protocol
All corner workers must use standard motorsport flags to communicate with riders.
• Yellow: Hazard ahead. Riders must slow and proceed with caution. No passing.
• Red: Session stopped immediately. Riders must safely reduce speed & return to the paddock.
• Black Flag: Specific rider must exit the track and report to pit control.
• Checkered Flag: Session has ended. Riders complete current lap and return to paddock.

Crash Response Procedure
When a crash occurs, the following steps must be followed:
Step 1 – Immediate Observation
Corner worker closest to the incident determines:
• Rider condition
• Track obstruction
• Fire risk or fluid leak
Appropriate flag is displayed immediately.
Step 2 – Hazard Communication
If rider is off track and not in immediate danger:
• Yellow flag displayed
• Session may continue with caution
If rider or motorcycle blocks track or debris is present:
• Red flag displayed
• Session stopped immediately
Step 3 – Control Rider Response
Control riders slow approaching traffic and assist with:
• Directing riders safely through the area
• Confirming rider condition
• Communicating with Safety Director
Step 4 – Medical Dispatch
If rider appears injured or requests medical attention:
• Safety Director dispatches medical crew
• Ambulance personnel assess the rider
Track sessions remain paused until medical staff confirm safe continuation.
Step 5 – Track Clearance
Before the session resumes:
• Motorcycle removed from track
• Fluids or debris cleaned
• Track surface inspected
Safety Director confirms track is safe before restarting the session.

Rider Conduct Enforcement
Unsafe riding behavior will not be tolerated.
Examples of unsafe conduct include:
• Aggressive passing
• Ignoring flag signals
• Riding beyond skill level
• Failure to follow group rules
Enforcement Procedure
First offense:
Verbal warning and discussion with control rider or Safety Director.
Second offense:
Rider removed from current session.
Serious or repeated violations:
Rider removed from event without refund.
This policy ensures safety for all participants.

Mechanical Failure Response
If a rider experiences mechanical issues on track:
1. Rider should safely move off racing line.
2. Rider must exit the track at the nearest safe location.
3. Corner worker will display yellow flag if hazard exists.
4. Motorcycle must pass technical inspection before returning to track.
Fluid leaks or dropped debris may result in session stoppage.

Environmental & Weather Safety
Track events operate rain or shine unless conditions become unsafe.
Rain Conditions
• Riders notified during rider meeting
• Reduced speeds encouraged
• Novice group monitored closely
Lightning or Severe Weather
If lightning or dangerous weather occurs:
• Sessions paused
• Riders return to paddock
• Event staff monitor conditions
Events resume only when conditions are safe.

Medical Emergencies
In the event of a serious injury or medical emergency:
1. Red flag immediately stops the session.
2. Medical crew dispatched to rider location.
3. Control riders slow and direct riders safely off track.
4. Session remains paused until medical personnel clear the situation.
Emergency transport decisions are made solely by medical staff.

Post-Incident Review
After any significant incident:
• Safety Director documents incident details
• Staff review event to identify improvements
• Rider may be reassigned or restricted from future events if necessary
This review process helps continuously improve safety procedures.

Event staff and volunteers must attend a pre-event safety briefing where this plan is reviewed.
